Lesson Sample

Open-string strum-along with Ms. Karen. Solo open string strum.​

Find C, F and G on the top two strings and on the bottom two strings. Put these notes on the staff.

Play Chords: C Major, G Major, G7 in open position. Practice changing chords smoothly. Play chords using the strum-along rhythm.

Write a chord progression using a rhythm composed by the student.

​

Pick Play: Using a familiar song or a song from the method book. Read notes on the staff aloud. Talk through positions on the guitar/uke neck.

Play the song through. When the student plays the song smoothly, I accompany them with chords on my guitar.
